Bernard, Richard Boyle

Bernard Richard Boyle (1787-1850) was a Church of Ireland clergyman and politician in Ireland.

  • Member of Parliament
    Bernard served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bandon Bridge from 1812 to 1815. The seat was controlled by his family, with his uncle Lord Shannon being one of the co-patrons of the borough.
  • Church Career Bernard was ordained in 1815. He became the Rector of Glenkeen in 1820 and was appointed Dean of Leighlin in 1822.
