Sir Richard Threlfall GBE FRS (1861-1932) was a prominent English chemist and engineer. He made significant contributions to the field of physics by establishing the School of Physics at the University of Sydney. He was also recognized for his wartime contributions during World War I. Threlfall was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1899 and received several knighthoods throughout his career. In addition to scientific papers, he authored the book "On Laboratory Arts," published in 1898.
