Manuel de Oliveira Lima (1867-1928) was a Brazilian writer, literary critic, diplomat, historian, and journalist. He was a prolific author, writing on a wide range of subjects, including Brazilian history, literature, and diplomacy. He also served as a diplomat for Brazil in several countries, including the United States, Germany, and Portugal. Lima was a founding member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters and is considered one of the most important Brazilian intellectuals of the early 20th century.
Renato Lima-de-Oliveira is an Associate Professor of Business and Society at the Asia School of Business, an MIT-Sloan international collaboration with the Central Bank of Malaysia. He is also the Associate Dean (Student Journey) and faculty lead of the Center of Technology, Strategy, and Sustainability (CTSS) at ASB. Lima-de-Oliveira's research interests include business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. He has published numerous articles in academic journals and is the author of the book Business Ethics and Sustainability: A Brazilian Perspective.
